And here is the pièce de résistance - a replica of Picasso's Guernica~ 
My photo doesn't do it justice. Each child had a couple of tiles to work on individually (using a collage format), resulting in the final piece. I'm sure I'm not explaining it well, but it was more amazing then it looks here. Hopefully this beautiful mosaic will find a permanent home somewhere, so we can see it up close again!Of course, no event requiring costumes would be complete without Sam donning some sort of guise. Here he is in Cole's Abraham Lincoln beard~

Who painted the picture their scene was based on? I think another group tried to do the same picture, but the girl couldn't hold up her arm the whole time.
