Blades

Today was our first time ice skating since last spring. For the last couple of years, we've had a Wednesday fun schedule where we alternate roller skating, bowling, and ice skating weekly. Sadly, the Lombard Roller Rink has canceled their Homeschool Skate. This leaves us with just bowling and ice skating. We hadn't gone at all this (school) year because I wanted to take advantage of the nice weather outside up until the last minute. But the boys were glad to finally get out on the ice again. Sam is such a natural athlete - he's the one in the middle without the "walker" ~
I bought Charlie some adjustable ice skates last year (they have a range of three sizes). He's already on the last one~
Because we own our skates, it's actually very affordable - about $2.50 per child for the open skate (around 2 hours of skating).
Next week - bowling!
