Day 3 - Fall of America

Monday morning we packed up and headed out.  We wanted to stop at the Mall of America so Scott could get some one-hour glasses he so badly needed.  While we waited, we checked out the Lego store~
It's important to note that the MoA is just a gigantic mall.  So if you're like me, and don't like shopping, it's pretty lame.  It would be one thing if it actually had 1,000 different stores, or whatever.  Instead it just has multiples of the same store in various wings of the mall.

On our way out of town we had to stop at Birchbark Books.  One of my favorite authors, Louise Erdrich, is the owner.   It was really beautiful inside and refreshing to actually see a bookstore in real life!We drove all night in order to get to Mitchell, SD.  We were already starting to feel like we spent too much time in Minneapolis.  We bought a campsite at a KOA and slept in our car in what I called, "The World's Most Expensive Parking Place".
